Guaranteed Entrance Scholarships
This scholarship is designed for incoming students at the University of Saskatchewan. Upon applying for admission, you will be automatically considered for this entrance scholarship. This scholarship is offered based on merit, as your academic achievements and admission average will be considered.
Value Description for The Guaranteed Entrance Scholarship
- If you have best average score ranging from 93% – 95%+, your scholarship value would range between $2,000 – $3,000.
- If you have best average score ranging from 85% – 92.9%, then your scholarship average would range between $500 – $1000.
Eligibility and Selection Criteria for the Guaranteed Entrance Scholarship
You must be a high school student intending to study at the University of Saskatchewan upon graduation.
Best and Brightest Entrance Scholarships
Five (5) awards, referred to as the Circle of Honor Awards, make up the Best and Brightest Entrance Scholarship. Out of all scholarships offered at U of S, this scholarship has the highest value and is mostly renewed.
Value Description of Best and Brightest Entrance Scholarship
Below, you will see the value of each of these scholarships. The five (5) awards are:
- George and Marsha Ivany President’s First and Best Scholarship: worth $40,000 and is awarded as $10,000 per year over four years.
- Chancellor’s Scholarship: worth $30,000 and is awarded as $7,500 per year over four years.
- U of S Entrance Scholarship: worth $24,000 and is awarded as $6,000 per year over four years.
- Edwards Undergraduate scholarship: worth $24,000 and is awarded as $6,000 per year over four years.
- College of Agriculture and Bioresources Renewable Entrance Scholarship: worth $12,000 and is awarded as $3,000 over four years.
University of Saskatchewan Graduate Scholarships

Depending on the program you are applying for, the value of this scholarship varies. If you are applying for Masters, the value is $18,000 for a period of two (2) years. On the other hand, if you are applying for a Doctoral, the value is $22,000 for a period of three (3) years.
Eligibility and Selection Criteria for Dean’s Scholarship
- First, you must register in a thesis or dissertation based on the U of S.
- You should have a GPA of at least 85%.
- You must show proof of previous research productivity.
Two deadlines are given to apply for the Dean’s Scholarship. The first is December 1 and the second is February 2.

You will apply online for this scholarship. First, you will find a program you intend to study, then go ahead and check the admission requirements before applying. Note, the application deadline for all University of Saskatchewan scholarships is 1 December 2020.

Step 1: Apply for Admission
As earlier stated, the deadline to apply for this scholarship is December 1. Therefore, you must apply before the deadline. Application will be done online. You will be required to pay an application fee. Also, you must submit the required documents to the admission office.

Step 2: Check Your Email
Your newly created login ID will be sent to your Email with 2-3 working days. Upon receiving the mail, login to the online web portal. Open the scholarship and bursaries page to gain access to the Best and Brightest scholarship application.
Step 3: Submit your Scholarship Application
After gaining access to the Best and Brightest Scholarship application page, there would be an application form with numerous questions. Correctly fill out the required fields in the application form and submit.
Step 4: Check you Email for an Award Offer
Successful applicants will receive a notification via email by January or towards the end of February. A space of two weeks will be given to you to accept the award letter. Failure to accept it will lead to a withdrawal of the award. I know for sure you would not let this opportunity pass you by. Acceptance will be done online. Therefore, login to the online application portal, select the award period and year and click the “accept” button.
