Fully Funded Hokkaido University Scholarship in Japan 2021

 About the Hokkaido University Scholarship

 This scholarship is fully funded and is available to students interested in pursuing their masters and doctoral degree from the university, this scholarship is of two types the presidential and the MEXT scholarship.  The deadline for this scholarship is Dec 4th 2020 For MEXT and 8th Jan 2021 For President Scholarship. 

1. Hokkaido University President Scholarship

This fellowship program is available to prospective international students interested in pursuing their masters, professional or doctoral degree from the university around October 2021.

2. Hokkaido University MEXT University Recommended Scholarship

This scholarship is open to international students interested in pursuing their masters and doctoral degree from the university, it is funded by the Japanese ministry of science, education and culture.

All of the scholarship lasts for Master’s Program is 2 Years and Doctoral Program is 3 Years.

This scholarship is offered in the 13 divisions of the university.

Value description of the Hokkaido University Scholarship

• Monthly allowance amounting 144,000 Yen for master’s students
• Monthly allowance amounting 145,000 Yen for PhD students
• Application fee is exempted
• Admission fee is exempted
• Tuition fee is exempted
• Airfare is provided

Eligibility and selection criteria for the Hokkaido University Scholarship

• All international students are to apply except Japanese citizens
• Must hold a bachelor’s degree for master’s applicants 
• Applicants must hold a master’s degree for doctoral degree applicants
• Must be born before April 2, 1985
• Must possess an English certificate
