About the Karolinska Institutet Global Master’s Scholarship

This scholarship is offered by Karolinska Institutet to standout students who have gained admission into one of the Global Master’s Programmes offered at Karolinska Institutet.

Although the amount of scholarships varies per year, nevertheless, there is a maximum of 10 scholarships offered yearly, and it is extended to all the Global Master’s Programmes. In other words, there is no specific Master’s program for this scholarship.

Based on statistics gathered, about 1500 international students apply for Karolinska Institutet Scholarship each year. The competition for this scholarship opportunity is really fierce, so you have to be at your best.

Value Description of KI Global Master’s Scholarship

Scholarships and grants awarded in Sweden have different benefits. Some are designed to fund tuition fees of non EU/EEA citizens. Others may be intended to meet living costs or several educational costs.

However, the Karolinska Institutet Global Master’s Scholarship covers tuition fee for just students enrolled in a Global Master’s programme. If you are enrolled in programmes partially given by Karolinska Institutet, only partial fee will be covered.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria for KI Global Master’s Scholarship

To be considered for this award, you must meet the basic eligibility requirements of the scholarship:

• Have applied to a Karolinska Institutet Global Master’s Programme commencing 2021
• Be a non EU/EEA student paying tuition fee
• Have paid application fee by 1 February 2021
• Have fulfilled specific entry and documentation requirements for programme you applied for

Note, only first year students are eligible to apply.

Furthermore, the selection criteria is an overall assessment of applicant’s CV and Qualifications submitted through the University Admissions and assessed with regards to application for a KI Global Master’s programme. Students who will receive the scholarship award will be contacted personally.

Application Deadline: There are several important dates for the KI Global Master’s Scholarship:

• Application commences on 16 October 2020 and closes on 15 January 2021
• The last date to make application fee payment and submit supporting documents is 1 February 2021
• Notification for Selection for Global Master’s programmes is 9 April 2021
• Notification of Selection for the scholarship is 26 – 28 April, 2021

Application Details for KI Global Master’s Scholarship

Applicants to KI Global Master’s Scholarship are obliged to pay tuition fees. Having paid your application fee to the University Admissions, you will receive information and invite to apply for the KI Global Master’s Scholarship by deadline of making application fee payment and submitting supporting documents.
