  • University Of Toronto – Fees

  For any higher institution of learning, the tuition paid by students differ, just as the campus, program, course weight, and year of study differ. 

  The total fee is a sum total of these four fees;

  • Course Fee:

  The fee covers the amount paid for the course offered, again, it vary depending on the nature of the course. For domestic students, tuition is about 6,590 CAD, while International students pay much higher, about 45,690 CAD. 

  • Incidental Fee:

  This fee is not part of the tuition fee, also, most of the fee is compulsory. It covers student health and dental plans, campus-based services, students societies, athletics and recreation facilities. 

  • Ancillary Fee:

Just as its name implies, the fees are not directly related to the main fee, it covers unique equipment for your course, field trip costs, library fines, transcript fee, etc.

  The fee consists of several other costs which aids your convenient learning in class. These fees include cost of book, feeding cost, housing costs, pocket money, etc. It also include money spent on impromptu situations.

The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships

  The aforementioned scholarship program is organized by the University Of Toronto with the purpose of selecting international students with exceptional academic intelligence and achievements (both in school and community at large) across the world. It usually focuses on students who possess leadership skills and hold an unaltered reputation in their local schools. 

  • Scholarship Eligibility:

  To apply for this scholarship program, the following must be considered:

  1. You must be an international student – the scholarship is not for Canadians. 
  2. The Scholarship is for students in their last year of secondary school or students who graduated later than June 2020 . 
  3. Student must begin their studies in the university in September 2021 – students in any other institution will not be considered.

  Steps to apply:

  1. You have to be nominated by the secondary school you attend. If your school has not been verified for the program, visit the website. 
  2. After you have been nominated, apply for the U of T to commence your studies in 2021. Also, note that the scholarship covers your first choice of program only at the University of Toronto . For more information, visit the website. 
  3. When the University receives your nomination and you have applied step 2, then you can proceed to completing your scholarship application online. For more information, visit the website. 
  • The Pearson Scholarship Application Deadlines
  • You must be nominated by your school for the scholarship before November 30, 2020. 
  • The Student OUAC (Ontario Universities’ Application Centre) application closes on the 14th of December, 2020. Any application later than this is considered as void. In addition, try applying early as the scholarship is competitive and program spaces fill up quickly.
