Financial Coverage

This Berlin 2022 Summer Program in Germany is a fully funded student exchange program in Germany and will cover all expenses including:

• An 8 week internship contract to work on a project.
• A Flat-rate subsistence allowance for the entire contract period in the amount of €1,800 gross for external participants and €1,000 gross for students at the universities in Berlin and Potsdam.
• The travel cost accounting subsidizes you with up to 500 euros for travel costs between Berlin and your place of residence.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria for Berlin Summer Student Program

To qualify for the program you must meet the following requirements:

• international students from around the world.
• You are a student (not a doctoral student) in physics, chemistry, materials science or related disciplines.
• You must have completed at least two years of full-time study in your major at university level.
• During your stay at the HZB you remain enrolled as a student.
• You have good knowledge of English, knowledge of German is an advantage.
• At the end of the application period, you must submit a reference letter.
