This scholarship is fully funded by the Japanese government through her  Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology,  and it is available in 7 categories which are  Research Students (Graduate-Degree Students and Research [non-degree] Students), Teacher Training Students,  Undergraduate Students, Japanese Studies Students, College of Technology Students,  Professional Training College Students, and Young Leaders Program (YLP) Students for both international and Japanese students.

Value Description of the Kyoto University 

  • Undergraduate students will receive a 117,000 yen yearly also Japanese students.
  • Non-degree students 143,000 yen
  • Master’s and professional-degree students 144,000 yen
  • Doctoral students 145,000 yen
  • While it covers tuition fees except examination, admission
  • Transport fair is provided

 Eligibility and Selection Criteria

  • International students and Japanese students are eligible to apply
  • Must possess the necessary criteria necessary for the program you want to do
  • Must get a university and embassy recommendations letter for graduate students and for undergraduate students a university recommendation letter.
