International Students Scholarships at Maastricht University

Every year, Maastricht University offers scholarships to international students. Currently, Maastricht University is calling on outstanding students to apply to the Holland-High Potential Scholarship Program for 2021/2022 academic session. About Maastricht University Scholarship Program

This scholarship program comprises of the High Potential Scholarship, which is financed by the Maastricht University Scholarship Fund, and the Holland Scholarship, which is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Education, culture and Science. The Maastricht Scholarship scheme is designed for international students who are nationals of countries outside the EU/EEA, who intend to enroll in a full time Master’s degree program.

The duration of the scholarship is 13 months for a one-year Master’s program, and 25 months for a two year Master’s program. Annually, the Maastricht University Holland High Potential Scholarships offer 24 full scholarships.

Value Description of Maastricht University Scholarship

There are a lot of juicy benefits. The scholarship covers all student-related expenses, including living expenses, health and liability insurance, visa application costs, tuition fees and pre-academic training costs.

• Living expenses (€11,400 for 13 months, €22,800 for 25 months)
• Health and Liability insurance (worth €700)
• Visa application costs (€174)
• Tuition fee (Tuition fees depend on you study program: €13,800, €15,500 or €16,800)

Eligibility and Selection Criteria for Maastricht University Scholarship

To be considered for this award, you must meet the basic eligibility requirements of the scholarship:

• A national of a country outside the EU/EEA.
• Have met all requirements to obtain an entry visa and residence permit for Netherland.
• Not a holder of dual nationality from an EU/EEA country.
• Have enrolled in a full-time Master’s Program at Maastricht University for 2021/22 academic session.
• Have met the specific admission requirements of the Master’s Program you applied to at UM.
• Not above 35 years of age by 1 September 2021.

Application Deadline: For the Maastricht University Holland-High Potential Scholarship, the application deadline is 1 February 2021. You are advised to apply as soon as possible.

Application details for Maastricht University Scholarship

In every scholarship application, there are steps each applicant must take. For the Holland-High Potential Scholarship, you must first enroll in one of the participating Master’s Program at Maastricht University. Upon submitting your application through Studielink, you will receive a student ID number. This ID number is needed to complete and submit your Scholarship Application Form. Also, you will be required to fill the application form, and upload necessary documents. Note, your application will be submitted online.
