About South Korea Global Internship Program

The Global Internship Program is an all-expense paid internship hosted by South Korea. GIP grants international students the opportunity to experience the research environment available at Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST). This program is designed for students to receive mentoring and training by joining a research lab for a period of eight (8) weeks. Undergraduate and Masters Degree students from across the globe can apply for this opportunity.

• School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
• School of Environmental Science and Engineering
• School of Life Sciences
• Institute of Integrated Technology
• Department of Biomedical Science and Engineering
• School of Physics and Chemistry
• School of Mechanical Engineering
• School of Materials Science and Engineering

Value Description for Global Internship Program

The South Korea Global Internship is an all-expense paid internship for students from different continents of the world. Below are things you stand to benefit from this program:

• You will be opportune to research in one of the world’s best labs at GIST
• You will be reimbursed half of your round-trip airfare to Korea
• A monthly stipend will be provided for you throughout your internship
• Your dormitory accommodation will be taken care of as well

Eligibility and Selection Criteria for Global Internship Program

To be considered for this opportunity, you must meet the basic eligibility requirements:

• Have a GPA of 3.0 and above
• Be an international undergraduate or Masters Degree student
